while i designed my puzzle game to work like a metroidvania it ended up being open ended enough that with enough creativity alot of the barriers can be ignored or bypassed one of the early game ones is ignoring the intro npc and instead jump out the window #gamedev #indiedev

the most useful mechanic in my puzzle game is this one where spells will only activate after a trigger function is activated i like using this combination to make magical effects only occur once the player steps on an object #indiegame #indiedev #gamedev
