Surf lifeguards are responding to an incident currently occurring at Auckland’s Piha beach. Two inflatable rescue boat (IRB) crews are conducting a shoreline search following reports of a person being washed into the water south of South Piha beach.

Surf lifeguards responding to an incident at Auckland’s Piha beach have been stood down for the day. The person, who is reportedly missing, has not yet been found.

There was plenty of action, on and off the water, over the weekend. From minor first aids to assisting police, surf lifeguards continued to showcase their wide range of skills.
