I’ve just finished prep for PYR and I’m not kidding it took me a day and a half. We were told last Friday we had 5 days to complete it (i.e deadline was 19th) as if we don’t have lives? On calls? Illness?

If you finish night shifts on a Monday morning why is Monday considered a zero day even though you’ve technically worked a 9 hour shift from midnight till 9am

One thing I find weird is when med students are taught to do ICE right at the start of a history. Patients rehearse their histories in the waiting room, immediately asking them what they’re concerned about completely derails their narrative and imo affects rapport

A patient with GI bleeding can be in shock despite having a normal blood pressure (Class 1 and 2 shock). A low blood pressure indicates Class 3+ shock, equating to at least 1500ml of intravascular volume deficit.
