Primary 1/2 are learning to sequence and order numbers. We used games to help us and, with some great teamwork we could also position ourselves in the correct position with our given numbers. Fantastic work 👏 SLC Numeracy and Mathematics

In Primary 1/2, some learners continued to develop their number formation and finger patterns while others learned about odd and even numbers and can also explain the rule when identifying them. SLC Numeracy and Mathematics

The children Leadhills Primary School used playdough, discs and bendy straws to help them add 3, 4 and 5 digit numbers together. They absolutely loved used these concrete materials to work on their calculation skills @MrsFrenchLPS SLC Numeracy and Mathematics

It was all about addition during numeracy in P1/2 last week. We explored using lots of concrete materials to help us understand the concept and begin to record our sums. Some primary 2's used 10 frames to bridge 10 when adding. SLC Numeracy and Mathematics

The primary 1/2 learners have had lots of practice in using various strategies to help them with addition. They are becoming confident in choosing which strategy suits them best, whether it's counters, cubes, numicon, fingers, mental strategies, or number lines. SLC Numeracy and Mathematics
