Kenny Crumpton has been a beloved part of Cleveland mornings for 25+ years on FOX 8. Emmy winner, Howard grad, and the heart behind “Kickin’ It With Kenny.” His mom was a librarian—so capturing him at Main Library was a full-circle moment.

While walking through Ohio City on Mother’s Day, It was great talking with longtime resident Judy Corrigan. She’s lived in her home since 1969 and shared amazing Cleveland stories—including how she met her husband at a bar under the old Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Shaker.

Stopped by the Northeast Ohio SPCA, a no-kill shelter at 9555 Brookpark Rd. in Parma. Met Aaron and Hallie Ebbinghaus who have 3 rescue animals. They were walking 6-month-old pup Bruno—who might be a Great Pyrenees. Hoping he was a good match. Donate: northeastohiospca.org

Met the stylish Mallory and Cassandra at the Tremont Greek Festival over Memorial Day weekend. Nice talking to them about the festival. A great celebration of Cleveland culture, food, music, and community.

Had a great time catching up with Clevelanders Nate Lull, Patti Sullivan, Erica Tinnirello, and PJ Triolo at Happy Dog on Detroit Ave. Love seeing how engaged they are—making a real difference beyond just online talk.  Thanks for coming out to the Bike Cleveland event.

Funny how you can live near someone and never meet—until the library steps in. Met Kim Baron during our 100th anniversary at Main Library, then ran into her the very next day at our neighborhood coffee shop. Love when Cleveland feels like a small town.

Stopped by Cleveland Chop at 824 St. Clair Ave. for a great steak dinner. Open since 2013, it’s still a great Downtown Cleveland dinner spot. Big thanks to Emily George & Melatia Elefteriou for the tour—don’t miss their beautiful outdoor patio this summer.

Loved meeting Lakewood residents Lindsay and Hyo Heinz during our Main Library centennial celebration. They enjoyed their visit and plan to return soon for a full tour of both buildings. Thanks to this wonderful couple for helping us celebrate 100 years.

Met James Kilbane at Edgewater Park on Memorial Day. He grew up fishing on the Cuyahoga River, learning from his father’s boat. A fisherman then, a fisherman now—he’s never left the water.

Great to meet Elizabeth Brett, Michel Caputo, and their son Clyde at Main Library’s 100th anniversary. Elizabeth is a descendant of legendary librarian William Howard Brett. They viewed rare Brett documents and walked the space he first envisioned over a century ago.
