this is reductive. you’d think that the patriarchy is not enforced in marriages with high achieving couples but it is. nothing shields women from misogyny - not success, wealth or intelligence. and women do not need to attain anything for their equal. rights to count.

Getting up early on Saturday/Sunday is the freest time we get all week.

One of the most shocking things I realized in my adult has a woman is that even the most well traveled, educated, exposed and “progressive” men are highly misogynistic. Academic status has never shielded women from misogyny. This take is not it.
