#TOTP 1997 begins airing on Friday 3 January 2025, with 10 January 1997 and 17 January 1997. As well as also repeating 4 January 1979 and 1 January 1987 that evening, BBC4 will be showing two 1975 editions never shown on the channel before: 13 March 1975 and 20 March 1975.

Remarkable viewing figures for the Gavin & Stacey finale: 12.3 million. Five years ago the overnight audience was 11.6 million, growing to a 28 day figure of 18.4 million (with those catching up on iPlayer etc.)

12.3 million watched Gavin and Stacey: The Finale on BBC One - and almost 10 million watched Wallace and Gromit!
