Kandahar SC look forward to welcoming competitors to Murren from 14-17 March 2019 for the 12th Amateur Interclub Team Championship.

Hosts for AICC, Kandahar SC, have announced dinners for the event to include top of the Schilthorn on the Friday, and gala prize giving dinner on the Saturday in the Palace Hotel ballroom.

Only a few days to go before the 12th Amateur InterClub Championships commences and there is a record number of entrants. The excitement is beginning to build!

Racers are turning up in Murren and taking advantage of the training course our hosts Kandahar SC have laid on. The competition starts in earnest tomorrow.

While teams train, the welcome packs are being prepared for this evening’s opening drinks party.

Kandahar SC did a fantastic job getting everyone racing today in spite of all the fresh snow over the last 24 hours. A great GS, super long and v tiring!

After the GS Kandahar lead in all 3 of the ladies categories and in the senior men. Arlberg lead in the men while SAS put in the 3 best times of the day to lead in the young men category. Everything still to play for with the Super G today! Good luck to all the racers!

At last the sun came out for yesterday’s racing. A challenging and exhausting Super G in the morning followed by a fun parallel slalom competition in the afternoon. Ski racing doesn’t get any better!

Congratulations to SAS who were the outstanding competitors of the weekend, winning gold in the young men category. In the ladies Kandahar were dominant, winning gold in all 3 ladies categories, and also the senior men. Arlberg SC won the men’s aicc.kandahar.org.uk/images/2019_Te…

This weekend will see a welcome return of the AICC after the event was cancelled last year. Racers will head to Wengen where they will be hosted by the DHO. The forecast looks good and we wish all competitors the best of luck.

Perfect conditions in Wengen and while some racers trained ahead of the competition which starts tomorrow, others took the chance to free ski and explore the resort (and check out the famous Lauberhorn)
