The Guemes Island car ferry will return to service this evening, Monday 1/6, for the 4:30 p.m. sailing. The 4:00 p.m. sailing is cancelled to allow for the transition from the passenger ferry to the car ferry.

Skagit County offices will be closed on Monday, January 20th, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The Clear Lake transfer station will be closed. The Guemes Island ferry will run on a normal schedule.

Here's a visual of the rockslide that is fully blocking SR 11/Chuckanut Drive just north of Blanchard Rd. Seek alternate routes. Emergency crews are on scene. There is no ETA for reopening.
