Maybe worst refereeing decision I have ever seen live, wasn’t the sole reason for defeat but it certainly changed course of game. We worked hard but terrible misses in opposition box coupled with terrible errors in our own, you can’t do it & win. Thanks to travelling fans #SPFL

Happy New Year to all when it’s time. Special thanks to Elgin City F.C. fans that spend your own time & money to travel length of country to support us home & away. It’s appreciated on good days & means most on bad days. Thank you even if you give us pelters! All the best in 2026

Some things naturally die in the name of progress but this one has cut deep. An essential part of life growing up. These channels were the backing track to what feels like literally thousands of hours of stories & core memories. A truly shocking start to 2026. #MTV #MusicChannels

Great day ,well done to our players, they work so hard & deserve another adventure. All best to a good Camelon side. Today though is about our fans, 200 sounded like 2000, they drove boys on. Thank you for travelling. In the hat & it’s least they deserve #ElginCityFC #ScottishCup

Genuinely trying to educate myself here as didn’t get a chance to ask the question on Saturday. Why has this goal been ruled out for offside?

Stefan Laird (@sjlcoach) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Great game for neutral, end to end stuff with two teams going all out attack for the win. Spartans so strong & full of quality, lads gave everything & came so close but a point was fair. Crowd got behind them & players reacted. Tough but exciting period ahead #SPFL #ElginCityFC

Was told by young player today that I coach that his club have banned “goal celebrations” as disrespectful to opposition. Are we sucking all fun out of game? Strongly disagree with that, surely feeling of scoring & celebrating together is what it’s all about #Football #Coaching

Not just players but whole club was heroic today, from the stand to pitch. The players didn’t sit back, they went toe to toe with one of the form teams in country and came so close. Proud of the lads. Back to league business! Onward. All the best to Partick for rest of season!

Good point on road. We could & should have really taken 3 after 2nd half display against an in form Clyde. We have to stop gifting teams opportunities to take full quota of points. Some home games to look forward to now! Huge credit to travelling fans, amazing #ElginCityFC #SPFL

Brilliant news for everyone at the club. We have missed Kyle badly in the time he has been out and his presence has made an immediate difference on return. He’s a top defender, a winner and great character in the dressing room, patter is improving all the time! #ElginCityFC #SPFL

Often this season we've played well & not taken points. Today wasn't a classic, tough conditions & 2 teams lower on confidence 1st half not wanting to lose. 2nd half that confidence returned, on front foot & deserved win! Fans brilliant on another cold day! #SPFL #ElginCityFC

Delighted Mark has extended his stay. He rightly was a man in demand & pleased he has same trust in the club, manager & coaches as we all do in him. He is a cracking player and good lad to boot! Looking forward to helping him continue his development. GAL GAL GAL #ElginCityFC

Big win against a good side. Top 1st half display & solid 2nd half meant 3 points. So much to like about pace & incisiveness in attack & crowd responded! City won't finish where they are. Great to see good pals Kirk & Michael as always. Top men! Onto Saturday #ElginCityFC #SPFL

What a signing Hunts was for us at Huntly, we wouldn't have got chance to step up if it was not for Andy's goals. Let Hunter be Hunter & he will guarantee you success. 73 goal involvements in 93 starts. Superb. Great player & cracking guy as well. The man for the big moments!

Deserved win for EK but we competed well & had our chances. In big moments we can do better. More conviction needed. Exciting few weeks ahead. All best to EK in run in, great young attacking unit, they’ll be hard to stop. Thanks travelling fans, great support #ElginCityFC #SPFL
