Check out my latest research in highly compressible glass-like supramolecular polymer works Nature Materials! Tremendous thanks to my great mentor Oren Scherman and amazing collaborators @Stevieoneill21 Dr Jade A. McCune at Cambridge Chemistry! nature.com/articles/s4156…
Researchers have developed a jelly-like material that acts like an ultra-hard, shatterproof glass when compressed and can completely recover to its original shape, despite its high water content, according to a Nature Materials paper. go.nature.com/3laK1iS
Yay! Our work with Simiao Niu and Zhenan Bao is published in nature! "High-frequency and intrinsically stretchable polymer diodes" nature.com/articles/s4158…
Stretch your imagination and your battery! This blue jelly is actually a hydrogel battery🔋Stephen O'Neill from the Oren Scherman group tests its limits. ch.cam.ac.uk/news/soft-stre…
News pod: Anita Lim King's College London on cervical cancer swab; Stephen O'Neill Oren Scherman group on jelly-based batteries; Dr. Ryan French on solar activity; @NeeltjeBoogert University of Exeter on seagulls stealing chips; and Jack_Lovegrove Science at the Natural History Museum on fossil DNA. thenakedscientists.com/podcasts/naked…
Our work on supramolecular conductive hydrogels was published in Advanced Materials Advanced Portfolio News. Our new material is highly conductive (~6 S/cm), highly stretchable (>1000%), very soft (~10kPa), and rehydratable.
