A huge thank you to Fr. Michael Wegenka, class of '05 and former Strake Jesuit faculty member, for bringing St. Jean de Brebeuf's relic to campus! Our Theology classes learned about the 17th-century Jesuit saint's life and martyrdom in the chapel today.

Congratulations to Urban Hannon '08, who has published his first book, 'Thomistic Mystagogy: St. Thomas Aquinas's Commentaries on the Mass.' In this book, Urban explores the saint’s teachings on the meaning and purpose of the various rites surrounding the Holy Eucharist.

Please pray for George Strake, Jr., son of George Strake, who is our school’s namesake and a major benefactor of Catholic education. He is the husband of Annette Strake, who passed away in November, and father of Trey ’78, Steve ’79, and Greg ’85.

Congrats to Christopher Egbunike '09 who graduated from Texas Tech School of Law in 2020 with his J.D., MBA, and Masters in Engineering. After graduation, he became Baylor University's first African American Attorney when he joined the Office of General Counsel as an IP Attorney.
