THAIMUN 2025 represented another successful and exciting conference for Team MUN at SJA. This conference in Bangkok, which featured over 500 delegates from numerous countries around Asia, represented our first international trip with a combined high school and middle school group

The Middle School this week created a special assembly to reflect on the 4.3 incident in Jeju. This has been a meaningful learning experience for the children to learn more about our local history on Jeju Island.

The Hilltoppers played under the lights at Gangchanghak Baseball Stadium in Seogwipo against a local men's team. Seogwipo Baseball Club helped organize the match to help SJA prepare for their upcoming 3 game series against American International School of Japan.

3rd Annual Grade 5 Poetry Slam: The 3rd Annual Grade 5 Poetry Slam—a vibrant celebration of our poetry unit where students take the mic to share their original poems. Dressed in black and snapping instead of clapping, we’ll honor the spirit of spoken word in true slam style!

Our AP art teacher Ms. Kristine Emerson from St. Johnsbury Academy Jeju had the incredible opportunity to visit St. Johnsbury Academy in Vermont for two inspiring weeks. As the first of two teachers to pilot this exchange, the experience was both meaningful and eye-opening.

Our Upper Elementary Students had an incredible time at our Sports Day event on Tuesday. Students participated in a wide-range of track & field events, and we even had time for parent and teacher relay races. We are already looking forward to next year’s Sports Day.

Students celebrated their love of reading! All students from PK3 to Grade 5 participated in a reading celebration on Monday, May 19, 2025. Tents were set up in the Mini-PAC, and each student brought a book to read — either individually or with a friend. Happy S’MORE Reading!

Twenty-two 6th and 7th grade students were inducted into the Hilltopper Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society of St. Johnsbury Academy Jeju Middle School.

Our Parent University program is one of the cornerstones of our parent community. Across the 2024-2025 school year, our Elementary School provided 16 different sessions on a wide-variety of topics about SJA school life and curricula.

AP Art students have been working on large mural projects in the PAC to add more color and life into the space before summer break. We have such skilled artists at SJA.

On May 23rd, we celebrated an incredible year at the SJA Jeju Athletics Banquet! Over 60 middle and high school teams were honored with MVP, Most Improved, and Coach’s Awards. A huge thank you to our amazing PA for providing the delicious meal and drinks!

Last Friday the curtain closed on Les Miserables for the final time. Les Miserable is unique in musical theater in that it is more of an opera than a musical play. Congratulations to everyone involved in the production!

Last week, we celebrated our Grade 5 students moving up to Middle School as they presented their Capstone projects to their families. We are so proud of these students and all their achievements as they round off their successful Elementary School years.

Congratulations on to our 8th grade students reaching the next level in their learning with the Capstone program. We would like to express our gratitude to the supportive faculty and parents who have played a crucial role in making this achievement possible.
