Mussel-mania is here! #MassDigitization has partnered with the Smithsonian NMNH Department of Invertebrate Zoology to image a treasure trove of freshwater mussels! Specimens from the 25K lots of freshwater mussels will have 3 fabulous #shellfies taken for more than 120K images total.
A photoshoot with 25,000 mussels? Now that's a reason to shell-ebrate! The Department of Invertebrate Zoology, in partnership with SI Collections Digitization, has begun the digitization of the Mollusca family Unionidae. In the next few months, over 120,000 images will be taken. 🦪

It was a joy yesterday to see our collaboration with NMNH_Entomology represented at the NCP Collections Share Fair! Between June - October 2022, over 107,000 damselflies and dragonflies were #digitized.
