1. How you gonna cancel a show after you announced a renewal 2. Why cancel a show that performed extremely well

What’s funny (but also not funny) is that the Dexter: Original Sin renewal was announced on April 1st and I thought it was an April fools day joke. And then reading about the cancellation today I had to question if today was April fools because I said there’s no wayyyyyyyy this

Dexter:Original Sin set records for Showtime & was their most streamed premiere ever at the time. The finale had even more viewers than the premiere & it became Showtime’s most streamed series in a DECADE. Then you cancel it AFTER an initial renewal?! #bringbackdexteroriginalsin

When a Dexter prequel was first announced I was kind of hesitant. I thought no one but Michael C Hall could play Dexter Morgan. But Patrick Gibson proved me wrong. He did his homework & studied Dexter’s mannerisms. He gave us a great version of Dexter & I’m sad he can’t continue
