I saw one of the most engaging talk by Valeria Gazzola and Christian Keysers, on cross-species approach.

Their conversation-style joint presentation made me feel like I was a kid at a science museum watching the interactive educational show!

Zoe Donaldson presents really impressive data synchrony in the formation of bonds: work showing how bonding leads to transcriptionally similar gene expression in the nucleus accumbens Zoe (with Liza Brusman) labels this phenomenon ‘transcriptional synchrony’- might be a game changer

Amazing start to the morning at #s4sn2024 with impressive talks by Matt Lovett-Barron on group dynamics in schooling glass fish 🐟 and Z O E showing transcriptional synchrony in bonded voles 🤯

Zoe Donaldson also gave a beautiful and moving tribute to Larry Young 💔 Society for Social Neuroscience

Phenomenal talk by Ann Meulders at #S4SN2024 - such clear and compelling descriptions of social effects on the experience of pain - I now have lots of ideas for designing mouse studies to look at pain learning in various social contexts!
