More damage reports from the 7.4 earthquake in Vanuatu. Comms and transport have been hit hard, as is often the case in such events, making the response efforts more complex.

The US only opened its embassy in Port Vila, Vanuatu, 5 months ago. It’s been badly damaged in the earthquake, with any US citizens in Vanuatu needing help asked to contact the embassy in PNG instead.
