While “a lot of the paralympians for the 2032 games aren’t disabled yet” is a good point I really really bloody hate this threat of “you better respect us because you could become one of us”. Like you could just respect disabled people nonstop.

All the big leftist podcasts who never talk about Covid? Seriously why? A million cases a day. No worker protections. Masking being criminalized. What fucking good are you?

Siobhán Cannon-Brownlie (@siobhan_cb) 's Twitter Profile Photo

If you work in health care and DON'T mask, you have no empathy. It's exhausting having to constantly ask health care workers to do the bare minimum to protect you (& they often act as if you're an enormous problem) - especially fun whilst having immunosuppressant infusions atm🙄

Little data? There are nearly half a million scientific articles on covid. We’re being lied to & abandoned by our leaders, and people don’t know about the research that already exists. That’s why I share it as often as I can, including in this thread 🧵

The scale and intensity of Israel's four-day incursion in Jenin is very alarming. Israeli forces keep obstructing access to health facilities blocking and even targeting ambulances, delaying people’s access to care.

Da(N95)iella. COVID = airborne. Wear a respirator. (@daniatomicus) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I really wish people would be honest and say “back when we had protections” or “back when we cared about stopping the pandemic” instead of “back during COVID”. That shorthand sounds so ridiculous considering how many people have COVID currently right now at this moment 👀

I don’t understand how a virus serious enough to shut down the entire world that continues to circulate, kill, and disable people, is something that we are now just expected to accept and expose ourselves to indefinitely? And it’s somehow controversial to question or oppose it?

So you guess I “might be right” about the likely effects of repeat SARS2 infections but you’re not going to wear a mask in enclosed public spaces “because nobody else is”. OK then Better dead than to feel slightly awkward socially on occasion, I guess.

just me (@redhotdisabled) 's Twitter Profile Photo

every day we’re faced with the reality that like 90% of people think the inconvenience of wearing a mask outweighs the value disabled people bring to society

It seems coordinated that the BBC and Guardian are talking about pandemic ‘lockdown’ harms on very young children (🤔) at a time when most kids are due to return to school in a raging pandemic with still no protections in schools from Covid infection.

When someone is diagnosed with cancer, it is a huge deal, and it takes center focus in their life. But if someone dies or becomes disabled from covid, it’s somehow acceptable. And even if the death itself is tragic, we keep insisting that it’s okay to continue to get covid. 3/

I get comments all the time like “well I’m immunocompromised too but I don’t care about covid” It’s like they want me to applaud their self-abandonment and/or become convinced to abandon myself Neither of which will be happening sorry

Up to 25% of #COVID-19 cases in hospitals are acquired after admission. A new study finds simple measures like testing on admission and staff wearing N95 masks could save lives and reduce overall costs. Read more: burnet.edu.au/knowledge-and-…
