#Gaza: This morning, a shell broke through the wall of an MSF shelter housing over 100 staff and their families in Khan Yunis.

This. Yet children make up over 40% (>10,000) of those killed by Israel in Gaza and are being maimed at inconceivable rates. Those who have survived so far are starved and freezing, with no access to shelter, food, clean water, education, or medical care. Wake up. Refuse silence.

Israel’s declared ground offensive on Rafah would be catastrophic and must not proceed. Today's announcement marks a dramatic escalation in this ongoing massacre. There is no place that is safe in Gaza and no way for people to leave. doctorswithoutborders.org/latest/msf-now…

The images from Rafah are unbearable. What is there left to say? Do our political leaders not see what we see? Is there really no limit to what Palestinians must endure? Enough! Stop equivocating. Stop stalling. Stop hiding — and call for an immediate ceasefire, now.

We could immediately restore funding for the BRAIN Initiative, the Chandra X-ray Observatory, and so much more if we stopped funding genocide.

A military assault on Rafah would be an unbearable escalation, killing thousands more civilians & forcing hundreds of thousands to flee.   It would have a devastating impact on Palestinians in Gaza, with serious repercussions on the occupied West Bank & across the wider region.

Excited to share our study of T cell signaling, where we directed high-content, single-cell genetic screening to uncover how a single adapter protein orchestrates a complex cellular process essential for health. (1/14) biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

In case you missed it last week, check out expansion in situ genome sequencing! It's been very cool to see this project unfold over the past few years.

Very excited to share our pre-print and my thesis work on the postnatal development of astrocyte regional heterogeneity, which includes an integrated dataset of >1.4 million single nuclei transcriptomes in mouse and marmoset brains (now available online)! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

From CAR-T cells to bubble-T cells🧋We took gas vesicle proteins from floating cyanobacteria and expressed them in T cells to track their location as they home to tumors. This tool will help us understand the dynamics of cell-based therapies deep inside the body.

Thrilled to announce that our work on Expansion In Situ Genome Sequencing (ExIGS) is now published in Science Magazine! ExIGS allows us to sequence DNA and image proteins with super-resolution directly within single cells. science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Really liked Sri's perspective piece on building virtual cell-like models. Strongly agreed with the uncertainty on if we are even measuring the right things. My bet is that inventing new/better tools to make ground truth measurements in cells will accelerate model development.
