A bit of a last minute booking for this gig as I only spotted it a couple of days ago. Also a new venue although I know @RuskinMill Trust regularly hold small intimate gigs. David and Freya AKA Harbottle and Jonas are a husband and wife duo from South Devon.

First of two nights with "big" bands. Time for an evening with Scottish band Skipinnish .  It's been some time since I last saw the band, almost certainly at Celtic Connections

As mentioned last night, tonight is another "big" Band, well compared to my usual duos and solo artists. A short trip over the Seven to Newport and the first visit to the Riverfront. A short trip to Newport to see Steeleye Span at the Riverfront Theatre Newport

Tonight we go to the other end of the folk artist spectrum in comparison to this week's bands gigs with solo artist  Ellie Gowers. Ellie is one third of The Magpies,  an accomplished soloist (and Morris dancer !)

Always a pleasure to see Anna and Rowan Rheingens. Fantastic exponents of traditional music with an occasional touch of French influence from where Anna lives in Southern France. St George's Bristol

Well tonight is one of those occasional "new" music nights. Holly Clarke is a new name to me but I've seen a couple of videos and liked what I heard.

I've been looking forward to tonight's concert after  seeing The Haar at the beginning of April. Fantastic musicianship from the three fellas together with the exquisite singing of Molly Donnery. A great evening's entertainment is guaranteed in Tetbury

Well I find myself at Hall for Cornwall in Truro for the first of three nights with folk royalty Kate Rusby ( the next 2 are nearer home)

Night 2 of 3. A little nearer to home over the water in another country . I let the train 🚆 take the strain for today. Anyway I'm sure Kate will be just as good in Wales as she was in Cornwall.

Final of three nights seeing Kate Rusby . A much nearer venue, just up the road in Frome. Wonder if there will be anything different??

Hailing from Prince Edward Island, Canada, I've only seen  The East Pointers play one full gig which was sadly just before band member Koady died unexpectedly. After a couple of years recovery it's great to see Tim and Jake back out on the road.  At Forest Folk Broadhunt tonight

One of the highlights of this year's Celtic Connections festival was Frigg with the BBC Scotland Symphony Orchestra. The band don't come over from Finland nearly enough so a chance to see them tonight locally is not to be missed. life music

It's been some time since I saw Adam Beattie and Fiona Bevan together. I believe she was in the US when I last saw Adam. This is a new venue to me but only 10 minutes from the campsite so could be a good place if I can get more than one gig in a trip.

When artists come over from Canada and play two gigs within a short distance of each other,  all be it a week apart , it's only sensible to return to the Chichester campsite to see the fantastic The East Pointers .Support tonight by Saije, an award winning Australian folk duo

Have been looking forward to this evening since the tour was announced. Saw the show first time around, will be a cracking night.

At the old Beau Nash cinema for Bristol's The Longest Johns and just noticed the support is Natalie Holmes another act I've wanted to see.

I've seen Lady Maisery and  Jimmy and Sid's Christmas show before but they have decided to venture out in warmer times to celebrate summer under the collective name of Wakefire. You just know that with these five it's going to be a great show St George's Bristol
