Digitized ship's log entries from 1740 to 1855 allow us to see old trade routes really clearly. Shows where the European Empires had their colonies. Not sure why Portugal isn’t featured or why the Mediterranean looks empty. Any guesses? Source: buff.ly/38ISkeY
