As a consequence of political decisions to continue the shocking under resourcing of General Practice in Scotland. Expecting GPs to provide unlimited care for less per patient than it costs for pet insurance and vaccinations is not OK. Most members of the public would be

it's a bit disingenious to say that most NHS contracted GPs are private practices; the contract is very restrictive; the private work is limited to stuff NHS doesn't fund(eg insurance reports), we don't have private patients, our hours/workload/ is heavily held to contract/..

Without reimbursement this rise will directly impact on patient access. It will also threaten the sustainability of many practices.
