13 March 2025, I had the opportunity to moderate the 2nd round table at the side event on the margins of #CSW69 on 30 years after Beijing. An event held at the African Union permanent Mission in New York jointly organised by the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire & African Union #CIEFFA

The African Union CIEFFA extends its deepest condolences to the family of Dr Agossou. During her time at the Centre, she was very instrumental in its growth.

The Training on Gender Responsive Education Sector Planning is currently running in Madagascar for African Union CIEFFA Focal Points within Ministries of Education and Ministries of Gender. This is an opportunity to thank the EAGER World Bank project supporting this Capacity building event

2/6 The workshop convenes educators from over 20 AU Member States. While opening the meeting, the Coordinator of African Union CIEFFA, Simone YANKEY-Ouattara underscored, "This training goes beyond prevention, it provides tools to ensure safety & offer psychosocial support to learners & teachers.”

5/6 Trainees will gain skills to identify, prevent & address SRGBV. Prof. Jean Koulidiati, Rector of the @PAU, stated the role of collective responsibility: “If we all take responsibility & give violence prevention the priority it deserves, we can turn risks into opportunities.”

6/6 - During the opening, Simone YANKEY-Ouattara, officially presented the award trophy to the Cameroonian authorities in recognition of their efforts in launching the #AfricaEducatesHer Campaign in the country.
