In the UK during 2022, 1,711 people died and 28,031 people were seriously injured in road crashes. There is no other transport method in which society would accept this level of harm. So why is there not extensive coverage and debate about this appalling level of road harm?

FWIW, my radical idea for rural support - inspired by Simon fae Standingstone ::🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇪🇺🌍:: - is a Rural Universal Basic Income, based on the idea that keeping people in rural areas is a good idea generally.

Then any further support for land management can be much better targeted than at present.

Just in case anyone is in any doubt, Elon Musk is a non-female non-trans individual, born into the male gender, who is absolutely dedicated to free speech.

Now if only there were a less convoluted way of saying that?
