Here is a copy of the poster I am presenting this week at #EOU2023 in Lund. If you are intrigued by some limnology for ornithologists, come say hello :) #313

So today I am presenting our work on the competition between #ringneckedparakeet and #commonnoctule at the 13th European Vertebrate Pest Management Congress in Florence, Italy (#EVPMC2023). Glad to be able to vent some of my obsession with parakeets....😬

I am very grateful to have been able to present our work on the influence of the level of Lake Maggiore on an important stopover area such as Bolle di Magadino at the #CIOXXI this morning. And I am grateful for the buffet

In Florence we witnessed a really interesting interaction between a Hooded crow (Corvus cornix) and two Rose-ringed parakeet (Psittacula krameri). The crow was probably trying to prey on the parakeet’s nest, with the female defending it and the male trying to chase the crow away.

Quite excited to present at the #EOUFledglings2024 this afternoon the work done with Birgen Haest, Baptiste Schmid & Nadja Weisshaupt about integrating radar data and #bioacoustics to quantify #migration. I promise(hope) it will not be boring...
