On 16 September, #Malawi votes. The choice? A 70-year-old pastor who has failed to deliver, or an 85-year-old ex-professor whose last term crashed and burned. Someone said it’s like picking between a graveyard and a mortuary. Either way, we as a people, are dead.
A friend of mine introduced me to a boy who was about to lose his place at Machinga Secondary School due to financial difficulties. We sent the boy to school. The rest is history! I'm thrilled with how the boy performed in his JCE exams. I'm happy.
Malawi is progressively getting worse and if this trend continues, the next president will actually be worse than Chakwera ndiye muzamusowanso since you people have the memory of an Ostrich.
A Malawi sitichedwadi kuiwala, ma demo aja sikuti anthu anali opusa.
1) Persistent blackouts
2) Rampant corruption
3) Nepotism
Just to mention a few. Whatever the shortfalls are with this administration doesn't make APM better.
I distinctly recall my Malawian cards not working abroad when APM was in office. But then again I’m in the minority of Malawians whose memory isn’t like a goldfish
And they are yet to repent. They are not even assuring us that they will fix their leadership/camp/mistakes. Incase they win, in 12 months (tops), we will be back in the streets demonstrating..
If APM wins the upcoming elections, 2 years into which will undoubtedly be an abysmal tenure, Malawians will start singing the glories of Laz.
They will claim that at least under Chakwera they could afford such & such. We're a sorry people who can't think outside DPP/MCP.
SMH.
Good observation.
We could even go back to Bingu days on this one; I remember sleeping in fuel queues back in 2011; scavenging for forex for intl trips but most think things were fine because their biggest journeys were from Area 23 to 25 by foot.
