Why do we need systems thinking during transition period? Because transitions involved changes in the whole systems structure - the context - and we thus have to understand and work with context or else our traditional single point interventions will be of little use.

This is why entrepreneurship and ecosystem building is so important for systems change, it's the evolutionary potential part. The context is too complex to gain consensus among the diversity of actors so you have to create attractors and work with evolution. Systems Change Finland
