MSU President Mark Keenum met with Mississippi U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker in his Capitol Hill office yesterday and also met with U.S. Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith. Our congressional delegation is vital to MSU’s research mission in energy, agriculture, engineering, and the national defense.

With a midweek win over Ole Miss, Mississippi State Baseball's RPI is up another couple of spots to 24. Like I said, I fully expect MSU to be a host if the rest of the regular season goes as I think it will. Stay tuned.

Great MSU partnership with International University of Rabat in Morocco continues and grows!

In Washington today, Mississippi State President Mark Keenum and International University of Rabat President Noureddine Mouaddib renewed a Memorandum of Understanding governing a partnership between the universities that provides opportunities for students at both institutions.

Starkville Rotarians today heard from 100 Women Who Care in Starkville founder Alison Buehler. The organization is part of the Starkville Community Foundation and invests in education and other vital programs that benefits families.

Mississippi State University mourns the passing of our former head football coach and athletic director Bob Tyler at age 91. Tyler led MSU to a 1974 Sun Bowl win over North Carolina behind stars Rockey Felker and Jimmy Webb. He also was head coach at North Texas and Millsaps.

Sid Salter presented the G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery award for Leadership and Academics to Cadets Alyssa Brown & Jake Hooper. Includes a $3,000 Scholarship.

The Miss. State University debate team won the university’s first ever national college debate championship at the International Public Debate Association (IPDA) National Tournament. The event was hosted at MSU thanks to the efforts of Brett Harvey and Cheryl Chambers.

Starkville Rotarians heard from Bill Moody, director of the Mississippi Bureau of Public Water Supply at the State Dept. of Health. Moody provided details about the catastrophic failure of the City of Jackson water system in 2022. The system remains under the watch of regulators.
