“The Ophelias were opening. It was as close as I would have come to seeing David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust peak period. It was like seeing Peter Gabriel with Genesis in a city where everyone was playing half-ass punk rock” ~ David Immerglück

The new issue of Shindig is out now! Among many groovy - and typically varied - things, we make our own alternate Revolver. Spoiler: it’s fab. I review new music from King Gizzard (not one but THREE albums), Andrew Wasylyk (Clay Pipe Music) and The Winston Brothers (Colemine Records)

The Xmas issue of RC is out with lots of enlightening reads. I’m not exactly a sucker for early decorations, the seasonal spirit or winter in general, but I do love me some festive Moogsploitation: I write about the deliciously campy corker that is Switched on Santa. Oh oh oh!

The new issue of Shindig is out now, and I hope you’re ready to close sad ol’ 2022 with a bang and our very own selection of the year’s finest musical things. We also picked some deliciously goosebumps-inducing synth numbers to get you through the long winter.

To no one’s surprise, I’ve been obsessively listening to Fleetwood Mac songs over the past couple of days. Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks’, to be more precise. And then I wrote a(nother) thing.

It’s here. It’s chaotic. It’s preposterously long. It’s the end-of-the-year playlist nobody asked for. open.spotify.com/playlist/1LlsI… music.apple.com/us/playlist/so…

I’m gonna tell you a story…the first issue of Shindig of 2023 is out now! I talk to Welsh rockers CVC about their debut album (out next week on Secretly) and proudly embracing the classics.

“Radical ideas will always get appropriated. The establishment will rob everything they can, because they lack the ability to be creative. That’s why you always have to keep moving” Jamie Reid (1947-2023)

It’s that time of the (new) year when I look back at 365 days of listening to (new) music, and share a generous selection of favourites with friends, acquaintances, strangers and whoever is as in love with the idea of making endless discoveries as I am. linktr.ee/camillaaisa

RIP Chris Karrer, founding member of Amon Düül and Amon Düül II. I had a lovely chat with Chris for a 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐠! feature on ADII. Of the forward-thinking music they made together he told me: “I would call it psychedelic underground, but didn’t mind krautrock”. ⬇️
