ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ವೃತ್ತಿಗೆ ಬಂದವರಿಗಿಂತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ವೃತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡವರೇ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಈ ವೃತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನನಗೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಎನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರವಾಗಿ ಯೋಚಿಸುವಂತೆ ರೂಪಿಸುವುದೇ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ. ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ವೈಚಾರಿಕತೆಯನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು

ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ದೊರಕದಂತೆ ತಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕಾಲ ಈಗ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಈಗ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಡ್ಡಾಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸುವ ರೂವಾರಿಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು. ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಸುವುದು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಂದ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದಿಂದ

ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರಿಗೆ ಇರಬೇಕಾದ ಬದ್ದತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರರಿಗೆ ಇರಬೇಕಾದ ನ್ಯಾಯನಿಷ‍್ಠುರತೆಯನ್ನು ಮೈಗೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಗೌರಿ ಲಂಕೇಶ್ ತಾಯಿ ಹೃದಯದ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಗಳು. ಸ್ವಾರ್ಥದ ಲವಲೇಶವೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಸದಾ ಸುತ್ತಲಿನ ಸಮಾಜದ ಕಷ್ಣಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣೀರಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಗೌರಿ, ಅನ್ಯಾಯ, ಅಧರ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಅಸತ್ಯದ ವಿರುದ್ಧದ ಹೋರಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇನಾನಿಯಾಗಿ

2014ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ವೇಳೆ ವಿಸ್ತೃತ ಯೋಜನಾ ವರದಿಗೆ ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ನೀಡಿ, ನಾನೇ ಶಂಕುಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ್ದ ಎತ್ತಿನಹೊಳೆ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಮೊದಲ ಹಂತದ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಗಿ, ಬರದ ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಜೀವಜಲವನ್ನುಣಿಸಲು ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಿದೆ. ಇದು ನನ್ನ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಜೀವನದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಸಾರ್ಥಕ ಕ್ಷಣ. ನಾಳೆ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ 12 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಹಾಸನ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ
