I don’t understand why Trump wrecking the White House isn’t a bigger story. I’ve been in the East Wing many times. Built by Teddy Roosevelt, expanded by FDR, it served a critical function for official gatherings like Medal of Honor award ceremonies and as an emergency ops center.

Irony is dead, now Trump’s is physically destroying the White House.

Sometimes, one must take a position that is easy for opponents to demagogue. "Why do you care about drug dealers more than their victims? They deserve to die!" The reason is "process," which is much harder to defend, but necessary. Rand Paul knows this, rest of GOP doesn't.

This mental exercise long ago proved to be ineffective. But I'll ask it anyway: What if Clinton/Obama/Biden had done this? It turns out that the GOP and MAGA World think if Trump does something, not only is it *not* wrong, it is, ipso facto, inarguably the *right* thing to do.

When history asks who resisted, his name will be remembered.
