The worst dictatorship you've probably never heard of is #Eswatini (Swaziland), Africa's last absolute monarchy and the smallest nation in the southern hemisphere. This is my conversation with Mary Pais Da Silva and Velaphi Mamba about the latest cruelties there. youtube.com/watch?v=kZg-rA…

The obsession with the source of knowledge as writing & reading published papers and dissertations is problematic. The most knowledgeable listen to the people and those who read get lost referencing others and citing themselves. They become ostriches.

Yummy, Flo😃. What about I develop a module on traditional foods in my Heritage Studies program & We cook. Our kids CANT ID edible treasures in the wild, pick, cook & eat them. Yes eat! My mama said don't eat sweet potatoes with beans, it fights in the stomach. I did & it did.

We are reviewing our Culture & Heritage Module & working across the discipline with the Hospitality Studies Program would be lit! Light is in my brain tunnel! We have confined heritage studies to Heros and Heroines of the liberation struggle & not doing enough justice to it.

We all need to do this. Its not just unplugging blocked veins to improve circulation, but also quietining the noises that deprive us of rest and disallow us to switch off. Lets hand over ourselves to the pampering and care we deserve.

To be technical and academic: Afrikaans is not a language indigenous to Africa; it is a derivative of 17th-century Dutch. Its evolution into Afrikaans makes it a uniquely African language with its own distinct characteristics, but it remains historically rooted in Old Dutch.
