I'm obsessed with 1-person companies and have spent over 50 hours researching them. Here are the 10 most impressive ones that have generated millions in revenue with 0 employees:

It's dizzying keep up with BioML 🧬 Not one, not two, but THREE exciting papers from the @MetaAI Protein Team before the end of the year. Here's what they released:

Merry Christmas from the Fredens Lab Julius Fredens! Had great fun painting my first agar art with cyanobacterium Synechococcus sp. Lights are GFP and RFP E. coli.

Despite the negative posts we often see on social media about academia, 60% faculty would choose to keep their job after winning $100M. How many other professions would say the same?

If you place a small magnet next to GFP, its fluorescence intensity decreases by about 1%. (Chart #1) The fluorescence goes back up when the magnet is removed. You can also evolve GFP proteins in the lab and increase this effect to ~75%. (Chart #2) I don't know the mechanism.

Thrilled to share our new paper! (shorturl.at/8XjiY) We discovered that wild tomatoes in the Galápagos are re-evolving ancestral chemical defenses—literally flipping a molecular switch back in time. One enzyme, one atom, one evolutionary twist. asaph aharoni Nature Communications
