Last couple months have been the longest period of SERP instability in literal YEARS. My guess is this is 100% due to generative AI. -Webmasters flooding sites with generated content. -Generative AI chatbots taking market share from Google and Google testing defensive solutions.

Never been a better time to reread this marketing thread. Answers: Is it worth investing in marketing during difficult financial times? And what happens if you don't pull back on marketing as the economy pulls back.

I actually think it's cool that platforms are doing this even though it caused me a lot of headache yesterday. I made this video (below) about the "financial crash" - the topic was how to do marketing during recessions (the answer btw is double down on it as others withdraw).
