The fact that Dominique Pelicot allegedly found more than 90 men in his local area who were willing to do this is just bleak beyond words. This is the queue for the defendants to be admitted to court:

Men around the world stand shoulder to shoulder. Colluding and backslapping and prioritising their shallow displays of sporting solidarity while women in Afghanistan are brutalised with impunity, imprisoned in their homes, their daughters prevented from going to school.
