I think most black anime fans don’t mind that Rihanna’s dance along with the Carlton are referenced in Dan Dan Dan. We just care that black culture influences a lot of anime yet we are underrepresented in these same shows. Two things can be true at once.

I think One Piece is one of the few stories inspired by Dragon Ball that actually captures some of that same heart and soul of DB, As opposed to just trying to replicate the raw hype and iconic moments like transformations and fight scenes
