Aw… well if your friend of a friend of a friend of a friend who has excitedly tried to claim they know someone who has been on screen for all of two seconds really knew me in real life they would also know that I haven’t been single for MONTHS.

Just because YOU don’t see Sharlotte through the experiment does not mean that she and her emotions were not part of the experiment. There is SO much context that is not shown. #LoveIsBlindUK

It’s astonishing that people care so much about me not being fussed about pausing medicine for one year out of a lifetime… with the knowledge that I could do anything else that year instead. It’s kind of wild.

The reactions are quite literally insane. Aside from the context that was cut out from the tweeted clip (this was about a TV show that was quite literally about getting married) - the context that always had lots of good/ better options to medicine, is probably useful.

Yes, but when it comes to the black community we just look for any potential way to tear each other down because we see that as entertainment… I’m honestly so disappointed.

It sounds much more sensational to say “for a man you’ve never met” *by definition* Love is blind can only involve men that I haven’t met. “Paused your whole career”. I paused medicine specifically. And pursued one of my alternative careers. Women should do what they want.

Don’t be shocked at this comment one little bit. Black Twitter/ Instagram is SO much more engaged when it comes to negativity towards other black people compared to celebrating achievements. The community seeks *any* opportunity, we need to do better on here. That’s undeniable.

One thing I will give credit to is that for any non-UK medic, it’s difficult to understand that accepting deferral keeps the door LESS open than quit + re-apply! I completely understand how declining a deferral in other careers is very high risk.

You’re back on track so people saying they wouldn’t take the same risk… ok then don’t 🤷🏿‍♂️. Next!

That’s what any normal person would do, acknowledge they wouldn’t make the same choice and move on. A whole discourse is disproportionate! 🥱

Thanks for your input Dr Ruby 🖤 It goes without saying that our community includes many fantastic representatives that actually care/ protect our community. Having said that the following for me is undeniable..
