Today's excitement was a trip on the Keighley and Worth Valley line, as well as East Riddlesden Hall, which was fascinating.

Rounded off our holiday with a visit to RHS Harlow Carr. Stunning garden that we'll definitely visit again if we find ourselves at a loose end in Harrogate, and even came away with a few goodies for the garden!

😻 Kitties curled up together sharing a hug in front of the AGA. Unfortunately I want to stand just about there to cook dinner...

A civil servant once told me that the wind industry successfully lobbied the Government to stop using this graphic in official comms. You can see why!

Suffice to say the garden's come on a bit in the past ten years... Also, can we talk about how fabulous my lupin is this year?

Well there's an excitement - both cats have been a bit spooked this morning. Tails down, not interested in breakfast, easily distracted, avoiding the sitting room. Turns out another cat had somehow gotten in and taken up residence under an armchair!

Introducing G to the comedic perfection that is Jam & Jerusalem. That this gem only saw three seasons is nothing short of a travesty.

What the heck has happened to the price of butter recently?! Not only is a block of Yeo Valley salted no longer half a pound (it's 2oz short), but you're paying upwards of £3.50 for the privelidge!

Race Across the World - what a series it's been. I know my winner, I guess we'll find out next week if I'm disappointed for them or not!

An unusual choice of word, which brings to mind the idiom "you can't polish a turd". Perhaps not quite the headline they were going for...

This sounds like a fantastic way to destabilise the grid. Thousands of islanded microgeneration plants in close proximity feeding power independently yet en masse, unpredictably and uncontrollably, into the local network with no buffer - what could possibly go wrong? 🤡

Brilliant ramble on the local hills this afternoon, caught some fantastic light before the rain came. Bunnies galore, and even glimpsed a kingfisher!

Why yes! That is two adults cats squeezed perilously into a kitten-sized cat bed seven feet off the ground. And yes, it probably will end in tears.

Our landline provider have offered this for half a decade. Any caller is asked to record an intro, which is then passed to me on answering the call with an option to accept or reject.

Bosch Aerotwin: best wiper blades money can buy. For some reason, when my car was new, I fitted Michelin Stealth to it instead and they've been predictably awful. After a year I finally gave up and swapped them for Bosch. Night and day difference.
