Hi. I’m Matt (MattLloyd_UK) and The most important thing you need to know is that I am “Dad” to Otis, Flash & Rainbow Benji & Charlie🌈. Between Otis and his baby brother Flash they have six and a half working legs. This is an early photo of them.

So I do have MS and I’m on Mavenclad, which has worked really well for me. I was diagnosed in 2017, which came as a shock. However I was born with Spina Bifida and bi-lateral Talipes, so I have always had mobility issues.

In the field of work I’ve been really lucky. I’ve been a music journalist and also worked in a&r for a number of record companies. I now work as a business consultant specialising in compliance and governance.

I’ve been fortunate enough to play Para Ice Hockey for GB and have been an athlete at the Paralympics, as well as at world and European Championships.

Anyway, that’s the boring stuff out of the way, what is everyone listening to today? Currently I’m enjoying the new Nick Cave and TBS new album, Wild God, which is absolutely fantastic.

As well as being Dad to the dogs, husband to a saint, parent to recent graduate, I am also an academic at Hull University, where I am doing a PhD in Systems Thinking and a tutor on the MBA.

Taking a break and watching the latest series of Slow Horses. What are your favourite tv programs?

Maybe a strange question, but when you make a cup of tea, are you doing chemistry?

Just had jacket potato for tea, feeling tired so have just sat down with Guy Garvey: From the Vaults. Will do some work and play some records when I have more energy.

Have taken myself to bed. Am reading Critical Systems Thinking: A Practitioners guide by Mike Jackson and listening to Disintegration by The Cure.

So it’s time to sleep. It’s been lovely chatting and I’ll be back in the morning. I’m going to drift off listening to the Eels.
