The Wind Rises (風立ちぬ) SHIFF Film Festival today: deft, lovely and moving fictionalised tale of Horikoshi Jiro and the Zero.

A Fantastic Woman SHIFF Film Festival today: very well written acted and directed portrayal of humanity rendering null questions of gender identity. Top notch.

My film choice for today Sunday, the Eagle Huntress at 2.30 The Powell Theatre Sherborne. Kazakh language film set in Mongolia, this true story has got it all, traditions, amazing scenery. A girl can hunt with an eagle. A camera can fly.
