And don't forget the War Room that has created so that it's exempt from showing Albertans how it spends Alberta's tax dollars.

“If it play outs that nurse practitioners go work independently, totally siloed and on their own, we already know from many other jurisdictions, many other studies, that they’ll test more, they’ll consult more, they’ll use more resources, they’ll see less patients,” Dr. Parks

Rumour has it that municipal elections in Calgary and Edmonton will no longer have votes counted. The UCP will appoint the candidates based on their time worn tradition of 'consulting' with one or two UCP party members. Democracy, UCP style.

We live in a time that often reminds me of my childhood and of the stories my grandparents told me about their youthful days.

Totalitarianism doesn’t begin with tear gas and gas chambers. It begins when we don’t pay attention to dismantling of democratic institutions.

When Albertans last went to the polls, they wanted a gov to effectively guide the economy. We ended up with a gov obsessed with virtue signalling, culture wars, controlling institutions & doing everything possible to poison the relationship with all other levels of gov.

Justin Trudeau has brought in legislation that gives him the power to fire premiers and provincial ministers he doesn’t think are acting “in the public interest.”

He didn’t of course. But.. do you see the problem with Bill 20 now?

From the DM's...

Looks like it's not only frontline healthcare workers suffering under Smith's dismembering of healthcare in Alberta.

The folks who keep all the things working are at a breaking point.

Many of you have seen my concerns over the destruction of LTC/assisted living care recently. The GOA and MOH Adriana LaGrange has heard our pleas. How? With another 40% cut to fees to those docs taking care of the elderly.

A “Modernizing Alberta’s Primary Healthcare System”(MAPS) guidance document (advertisement actually) came out today. It mentioned “stakeholders” 18 times. It mentioned physicians 3 times. Physicians are not considered stakeholders.

On today’s episode of “fun with numbers” or “two things can be true at the same time”…

CPSA report - “Last quarter Alberta saw a net decrease of 106 physicians”

UCP - “Yeah, but if we measure from last YEAR there’s an increase!”

So the next time Grant Hunter gets up in the Leg to say he is so happy that AIMCO is doing a great job for teachers tell him to sit his ass back down.

The guy who accepted AIMCO's wild ass assertions that they had the best record of returns.

I have seen some interesting stuff in my time in the but Danielle Smith trying to explain the scientific method - and why it justifies a $2 million insider contract to an anti-science ex UCP candidate is definitely up there.
