Ahead of #StephenLawrenceDay on Monday 22 April we’ve invited children from three Leicester and Leicestershire schools to take part in our Hopeful Futures initiative. They’ll be here at our Leicester Gallery thinking about inspirational spaces where they belong.

Last year marked the 30th anniversary of the racist murder of Stephen Lawrence. Some of the children share why it was important to commemorate the day.

Stephen loved to print t-shirts and as part of the creative activities for the children to get involved with, they’ve been asked to print their own with messages of hope.
