We are thrilled to share that our Forensic Science Laboratory DNA section is now fully operational, all thanks to the dedication, hard work, and diligence of the forensic scientists and quality assurance team.

Early Mon. morning, swastikas were spray painted on Temple Israel’s Emerson Ave. entrance, captured on security footage. We thank Minneapolis Police for their swift response as well as public figures who have spoken out condemning the vandalism and standing with our community.

I started the morning off at the Edina Morningside Rotary with Rep Julie Greene hearing from Hennepin County Sheriff Dawanna Witt. The Sheriff and her department are doing incredible work keeping us safe and connecting with the community! Sheriff Dawanna Witt

A missing vulnerable person was found safely thanks to Deputy Briguet’s thorough search and compassion. During the search, Deputy Briguet followed footprints and located the missing 18-year-old female in gravel piles. He then safely returned her home and provided medical aid.

HCSO is still reeling from a surprise visit this afternoon at the Adult Detention Center. Ahead of his concert tonight, Jelly Roll made a special appearance inside our jail, meeting the sheriff, staff, and sharing his inspirational story with detainees.

Their main concern is a lack of funding for mental health facilities, combined with a pause on the 48-hour rule, which requires the Department of Human Services transfer someone to treatment within 48 hours if they're found mentally unstable. A pause on... kstp.com/kstp-news/top-…
