My deepest lesson this year was to stop defining my value by my output. I’m truly the happiest I’ve been in years because I finally gave myself permission to take my time. I have no doubt I will achieve my dreams. I just finally understand they don’t need to happen all at once.

can we normalize making a registry for your birthday instead of only making them for weddings and baby showers? because when it’s my friends bdays it would be so much nicer to click on their amazon registry and send a gift that they actually want right to their doorstep

It’s crazy how someone can come into your life and it’s as if they’ve been in it forever. It’s such an incredible feeling.

being yourself is how you figure out who is genuinely for you. communicating is how you figure out who will listen to you. setting boundaries is how you figure out who will respect you. doing all of these things only strengthens you & ensures you have the right ppl in your life

This has actually been so fun to do lately. Rather than letting adulting delay us from plans, we’re just being productive while catching up. Lol

I got to marry my friends in NYC yesterday as their officiant and I had the best time. 🥹🖤

Why do people say they’re cool with stuff, but they’re really not? Just be straightforward about things. People aren’t psychic and continuously wanting to read into stuff, especially if you tell them you’re cool in the first place.

I’ve never seen this before and it makes the hounding of them by the British tabloids even more grotesque

“The people pleaser” in me is dying out this season and the guilt I carry about that is heavy. But as I continue to push through it and focus with tunnel vision, things are aligning left and right. Not easy, but without a doubt worth it.

pausing before you respond is powerful because it gives you a chance to think about who you want to be in the moment, instead of letting your intrusive thoughts and gut reactions make that decision for you

Me processing that today is the last day of August.

i wasted a lot of energy over the years staying in spaces where i thought, if i could just show to this person or these people my light and my heart and value, they’d reciprocate the energy.

lesson: your worth is not predicated on whether or not others can recognize it in you.

Every time I get to host friends & family at my place, I feel so grateful remembering when I couldn’t even afford an apartment by myself. It really is the little things that are actually really big.

Write your book. Everyone won’t like it and that’s okay. Art is subjective. That’s the thing. Someone’s life can be changed by it while it barely moves the needle for someone else. That’s the thing about creating, it’s a brave and vulnerable thing to do.

Sometimes I think “What would happen if I REALLY spoke my mind?…” but I’ve learned over the years that there is power in silence too. I’m learning to choose my battles better I guess, but wow people are really acting with audacity lately. It is a testing season for sure.
