Music has always been a slave to powerhouses/patrons. 1st was the church, then royal families, now capitalism. U are not free in any of this. It's a racist, sexist structure that has replicated the same bias as capitalism, which is why the western musical canon is all white men.

I hope that the current exam fiasco in the UK doesn't create an anti-algorithm generation. Instead I hope it creates a new generation. One with a deep understanding of how elitism, racism, bias and other social factors are implicitly embedded within the algorithms we all design.
