Jostein Hauge How does this square with the fact that the OECD countries constitute a major share of global demand for manufactures exports from the Global South, whilst China imports primarily commodities from the Global South, and imports almost no manufactures from the GS?
Pseudoerasmus Good point, and I think the key variable to explore here is China, because in some way it fits into the poor/periphery category but in other ways it fits into the rich/core category.
