Behind the scenes of painting the KC-135 tail. The tail is 42’ft high so it’s all done from a high lift. The design is projected after dark and drawn in with a marker. Then prep, mask and paint each color. It’s work but well worth it when the smiles come! 🇺🇸🇺🇸NKAWTG “Candy”

After another day of prep finally got some black on the Osprey tails. They are much bigger than they look in a photo. My friend from work came to give me a hand. He was a Navy S-3 Viking guy. It’s always great to have help. VMM-362 Ugly Angels. She’ll look good but still ugly.

Today we got black on the insides of the tails. Dave worked on fuselage markings and I started on the tail designs. I don’t share much of that til it’s done 😜 I use clear vinyl that I put the design on then cut and spray each color. Paint has dry 12 hrs before taping again.

This is a U.S. Navy C-130T I painted for VR-64 Condors in NJ last year. The video was yesterday in CENTCOM. Lockheed only built 2 T models which have an extended fuselage for cargo. The Navy has both. #flygirlpainter 🇺🇸🇺🇸
