Seeking your answer! No answer will be called out as right or wrong. Would you say that the methods of a #Magento proxy class fit the definition of the Decorator Pattern?

Here's a fun one. If best practices state that constructors should only be used for assignment of properites, why do we have #Magento Proxy classes? It's like saying "Its not ok to rob a bank, but in case you do, here's a mask" :-) IMO

Why is that when we flip through the channels and we come across Goodfellas or some other movie we already own that we sit there and watch it censored and with commercials instead of popping in our own copy of the movie?
