Absolutely horrific. We are watching ethnic cleansing and genocide happening in broad daylight, in real time. Our govt has a duty to prevent genocide - and yet is still selling arms to Israel. The UK's complicity must end.

Horrified by the Israeli govt’s plan to force Gaza’s population into effectively an internment camp in Rafah. The UK must use every diplomatic, legal, and economic tool to stop this atrocity, uphold international law, and protect Palestinian rights. theguardian.com/world/2025/jul…

The Children's Commissioner has insisted the two-child benefit limit must be scrapped due to children. living in “almost Dickensian levels of poverty”. Child poverty is a political choice and Labour could choose to scrap the cruel limit and lift 500,000 children out of poverty.

'Most BMA resident doctors didn’t vote to strike.' 90% voted to strike on a 55% turnout. You got 33% of the vote on a 60% turnout so they have more of a mandate than you.

'Sticking points' are when you disagree on the seating plan for a state dinner, not when your close ally is openly committing genocide.

This is of course The Green Party policy YouGov and formed a large part of our election campaign in 2024. Lord Kinnock has only spoken of it two days ago. But good to see Labour catching on.

Asked about recognising the state of Palestine, Lammy says countries doing that has led to further annexation in the West Bank Diplomatic support for the Palestinians leads to Israel committing more violations of intl law so we better not do that. Is that what he's saying?

Abtisam Mohamed: "Have they [Israel] breached international law?" David Lammy: "That's a decision for a court, its not a decision for the govt" "But the court said its a decision for the executive" "Sorry?"

The interviewers description of what she believes a concentration camp to be is exactly what’s happening in Gaza. Shameful, but it is the BBC and they have form on watering down crimes on Palestinians . . .

How many times can Mike Tapp MP say “bogged down in ideology” as a means to evade saying anything of substance . . . Thank you Zoe Gardner for the only logical and empathetic response on this issue 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Labour councillor wins a democratic vote. But he wasn’t meant to win… So there’s another vote, this time online and, lo and behold, the favoured candidate of the local MP wins. Labour are a bent, corrupt organisation in so many places…. southwarknews.co.uk/area/southwark…

Another London council to begin the process of divestment! Meanwhile Hackney Labour won’t even allow our divestment motion to a vote
