Exciting news from the National level 4 social housing. Social housing isn't a fringe issue, it's not a redundant housing model. We need it to address our housing crisis now. Social housing works. It's an internationally proven model. We will keep educating & fighting for it here

If you'd like to see what our residential zones could be, please check out this UW housing studio's work from 2022. Inspiring, fun stuff (and none of it allowed under current or future rules)

I wanted to have a party at carkeek picnic shelters with awesome water views but then I realized that many friends can’t get there easily bc they don’t have cars :( SO much park hoarding in wealthy neighborhoods, esp in north Seattle. Time to add a ton of apts around carkeek lol

Another huge missed opportunity in the draft Seattle Comp Plan: parking reform.

The Plan gets it right on all the reasons to abolish mandates, yet still justifies retaining them for this: 'they can help to reduce competion for on-street parking.'

Your mission, should you accept it - demand more FAR for stacked flats, less for townhouses:

The same people pushing for spending on cops are pushing for cuts for renters rights. The same people pushing jail for people who sleep outside aren't willing to rezone the city for social housing or find a way to fund social housing.
Someone right more about that!

Rico Quirindongo, director of Seattle Office of Planning & Community Development said 'There are areas of the city that we do want to introduce greater levels of density, but we want to do it with a measured approach.'

You want to take a measured approach to desegregation?
